Waco, TEXAS / December 05, 2012
InterviewStream, the company that invented video interviewing, has begun a new era of expansion and product development with its acquisition by Brazos Higher Education Service Corporation (BHESC), a firm with over $10 billion in managed assets that provides educational funding to students.
The nine-year old provider of video interviewing – which serves more than 500 global clients in the enterprise, staffing, executive search, career transition and higher education markets – will remain independent as a wholly-owned subsidiary of BHESC and relocate its headquarters to Waco, Texas. Tim Condon, a veteran executive with decades of experience in the HR enterprise solutions and government employment markets, has been named Chief Executive Officer. Randy Bitting, who co-founded the company in 2003, has been named Chief Innovation Officer.
The major financial investment reflects InterviewStream’s unmatched expertise and the white-hot growth of the video interview space among corporations. Since InterviewStream’s founding in 2003, more than 500,000 of its pre-recorded and live video interviews have been conducted in over 120 countries in eight languages by customers that range from leading firms such as IBM, Sodexo, Viacom, AT&T, Cigna, Enterprise Rent-a-Car and Right Management to hundreds of university campuses worldwide and 21 of the top 25 MBA programs.
“We’re investing in the power of the interview,” said Condon, who most recently was president of LDJ Holdings and who also spent 12 years as Vice President of Sales and Senior Vice President of Government Solutions at privately held Profiles International. “The HR technology space has been transformed by seismic changes during the past 10 years, but one fundamental hiring tool has endured – the face to face interview. Thanks to video, organizations are no longer bound by traditional methods of hiring the ideal employee. The sharp rise in adoption of pre-recorded and mobile interviews utilizing InterviewStream’s technology in the corporate market offers us an exciting future.”
InterviewStream will move its headquarters to Waco, TX, but will retain an operation in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, where the current InterviewStream team will work. “We’re excited to expand our award-winning team with key additions to our management, sales, support, and research and development teams in Waco,” stated Condon. “As we expand our services across six markets, we are committed to the company’s original vision in 2003 to create a world-class video interview platform while continuing to provide outstanding customer service,” he concluded.
“When I started InterviewStream in the summer of 2003, I was 22 years old and it was born from necessity,” explained Bitting. “I spent almost 10 years creating an entire market for web-based video interview technology used by corporations, universities, staffing, executive search and career transition firms. As the original company in this emerging space, InterviewStream has a proven technology platform and the largest, most diverse client base in the corporate, government and education markets. The company is in incredibly good hands with Brazos Higher Education Service Corporation and with our new CEO Tim Condon, whom I have known for six years through the HR solutions marketplace.”
Capital funding will initially focus on international growth, innovative enhancements to InterviewStream’s award-winning platform and service support for customers’ video interview initiatives. The new company headquarters are located at 7901 Woodway Drive, Waco, TX, 76712. For more information, visit https://interviewstream.com.
