Integrating with an Open API: Why should you use interviewstream’s Open API?

Drew Whitehurst | April 29, 2022

Are you looking to integrate video interviewing into your applicant tracking system? We’re proud to announce the launch of interviewstream’s Open API, our solution to your integration woes. Our Open API will allow you to seamlessly integrate your interviewstream requisitions, interview templates, and candidate data into the hiring tools you use.

interviewstream partners with many applicant tracking systems in order to interview and evaluate candidates. However, not everyone uses one of our direct partner applications, which is why we’ve created our own API which will allow you to integrate with whichever ATS you are using.

What is an Open API?

An Open API is an industry-standard and widely adopted tool that allows two different systems to connect with each other. Like how a smart hub allows your phone to control lights, thermostats, and other devices in your home.

By allowing the two systems to connect to each other, you create a powerful relationship between your tools that will save you time and money. The easier your tech is to use, the more your team will use it.

Here are three benefits you’ll see from integrating video interviewing into your hiring tools with an Open API:

1. Integrate interviewstream Into Any ATS

If you’re already using an applicant tracking system and want to integrate video interviewing and scheduling into your system, we’ve got you covered! Check out our integrations page to see if we have an existing integration with the system you use.

If not, that’s where our Open API comes in. We’ve worked with several organizations to help connect interviewstream with the hiring tools they’re using today. Like Workday, TalentNest, Findly, Cadient Talent, and Infor to name a few. Reach out to a client success expert for more information.

Once your systems are connected, you can pull in interviewstream requisitions, interview templates, and candidate data directly into your hiring tools.

2. Streamline Your Hiring Process

If you’ve got a few tools in your hiring tech stack, you’ll know how frustrating it can be to move back and forth between tools throughout the hiring process.

Integrations allow you to easily access everything you need through one application, instead of tracking a candidate’s status in one tool and assessments and interviews in a different tool. Everything you do in interviewstream will automatically track through to your ATS, giving you time back in your day to focus on the most important thing – recruiting top candidates for your company.

3. Increased User Engagement

Technology is meant to drive efficiency inside your organization, not create barriers. And, if you are tracking each hiring metric through a different platform, you’ll see a decrease in productivity and platform usage.

Alternatively, by streamlining your hiring tech usage, you drive adoption. When you decrease the barriers keeping you from using a product, you encourage usage. After all, you are paying for these apps and platforms – so make them easy to use.

Integrate with Open API & interviewstream

Whether you’re looking to add video interviewing to your applicant tracking system or are just exploring ways to simplify your process, we’ve got a solution to help you streamline your hiring process.
